Where in the world have we been today?

Bridging Culture Through Dance creator Robin Gulley embraces every opportunity to share the joy and beauty of cultural dance with different communities of learners and leaders.

San Bernardino County 40th Annual Children's Conference

September 2,2026

Our CTE Careers with Children students had an unforgettable experience participating in the Bridging Cultures Through Dance workshop, led by Mrs. Gulley, during the 40th Annual Children’s Network Conference. This workshop was a beautiful reminder of how dance can bring people together, celebrate individuality, and build meaningful connections. Students were grouped together and challenged to create an eight-count dance, with each student contributing a movement that represented who they are and the experiences that have shaped them into the people they are today. As students shared pieces of their personal stories, they learned more about one another’s backgrounds, celebrated their differences, and discovered common ground. The laughter and excitement that filled the room as we combined our individual movements into one collaborative dance made the experience even more memorable.

The highlight of the workshop was learning a cultural dance from another country! My students and I had an amazing time learning the movements and dancing together. The energy, joy, and sense of connection were truly inspiring. What made this experience especially meaningful was that my students left wanting to learn even more cultural dances!

As future educators, our students gained a valuable lesson in the importance of embracing cultural diversity, creating inclusive environments, and using creative experiences to foster relationships and a sense of belonging. Mrs. Gulley created an engaging and welcoming space where students could express themselves, learn from one another, and appreciate the beauty of different cultures.

We are incredibly grateful for this enriching experience and for the opportunity to participate in such a meaningful workshop. Bridging Cultures Through Dance was more than just a dance lesson; it was an opportunity to connect, celebrate our differences, and learn that, despite our unique backgrounds, we can come together through the universal language of dance.

Thank you, Mrs. Gulley, for creating such a joyful and impactful experience for our future educators!

We had the opportunity to be a vendor and provide information about the Bridging Cultures Through Dance program at BUSD DAAPAC's inaugural Family Health & Wellness Expo. The event was well attended, and we engaged with several students and parents. Grateful to have been a part of such a well-organized and high energy community
