My Story

When I was nine, my family moved from Rochester, NY to La Puente, CA, and I  entered a culture I knew nothing about. A simple moment — being offered a tortilla and thinking it was tea —taught me how easily cultural mix-ups and misunderstandings can happen.

Years later, after the George Floyd tragedy and many others like it, that memory resurfaced. I felt a deep responsibility to help children grow up seeing others with curiosity, compassion, and respect.

Bridging Cultures Through Dance was created to meet that need. Dance is a universal language — one that invites students to explore global cultures through movement, rhythm, and shared experience. By learning the dances and traditions of different regions, students discover the beauty in our differences and the humanity we all share.

My mission is simple: Build bridges. Celebrate culture through movement.

Let's connect and build bridges together!
